Duration: 1 year
Part 1: January-May 2002 at Univ. of Teramo. Part 2: June-October 2002 Internship with international or national relevant institutions, or Research programme with scientific institutions.
LANGUAGES
Programme activities will be in English or French.
EXAMS AND THESIS
1) Two intermediary written exams 2) Final thesis (essay of about 50 pages). Admission to defend the thesis will be granted to those who have attended -at least- 80% of the courses.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION:
– (1.a) Degree in Law, or in Political Sciences and/or Int. Affairs with a specialisation or dissertation in a legal subject,
or
– (1.b) Degree in other disciplines or personnel of national or international institutions/agencies working on the field to combat trans-national or international crimes, and successful completion of an interview (oral exam) with a Commission of the Board of the Master
– (2) Good knowledge of English and understanding of French (active and passive knowledge of English and, at least, passive knowledge of French).

DEADLINE FOR THE APPLICATION: 15 December 2001
SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS:
A Commission of the Board of the Master will make the selection of partecipant on the basis of titles presented and certified and, in particular cases, on the basis of the interview (see above 1.b) The list of candidates will appear by 24 December 2001 on the University of Teramo web-site. All candidates will also receive a response by mail.
ENROLMENT FEE
All selected candidates are required to pay, by 11 January 2002, an enrolment fee of 700 Euro. A delay in obtaining the visa to travel to Italy may justify a delayed payment of the enrolment fee.
CONTRIBUTIONS AND SCHOLARSHIPS:
Candidates from developing countries may apply for a contribution amounting to 50% of travel and lodgement costs for Part 1 of the Master. Candidates from other countries who have specifically indicated a particularly difficult economic situation may also apply. A limited number of Scholarships will be assigned according to the merits and the financial situation of individual candidates.
